That night Shreya couldn’t sleep.
Her life was very hard, for she worked all day long.
She didn’t go to school.
She tiptoed outside.
Outside her house it was cold, but the canopy of stars lit up the sky.
She crept to her favourite tree and knelt down.
She closed her eyes as the leaves fell softly around her.
“I’m poor and I’m working hard to live like other children, so please let me go to school just for one day !“ she prayed.
As she opened her eyes she saw a heart on her hand
She looked at the heart.
Then she gently blew it away...
